Does Tidmarsh offer an in-house blinds, curtains and soft furnishing service?

Yes. Unlike many of our contemporaries, we do not outsource our work. Tidmarsh blinds are manufactured on site in our factory and curtains and soft furnishings are made up in our workshop by our experienced team of seamstresses.

Can I choose any colour on a real wood Venetian blind?

Yes. Uniquely, Tidmarsh can match to any colour that you desire for your room scheme. This includes well known heritage brands e.g Farrow & Ball

Does Tidmarsh have experience of heritage and listed buildings?

Yes. This is where our 180 years of experience originally began and we have even held the Royal Warrant for our services to the royal household.

Can Tidmarsh integrate with home management systems?

Yes. Increasingly we are asked to work with designers, developers and architects who have incorporated these systems into the buildings and require our binds and curtains to be integrated into the operation system. E.g Tidmarsh offers the Lutron blind system which integrates directly into the Lutron Homeworks System and can then be controlled by Crestron or AMX to name but a few.

Do Tidmarsh supply Lutron / Crestron?

Yes, we are a distributor for Lutron products where we can install a full audio visual / building management system or we can supply and install blinds and curtains only integrating with other systems on the projects e.g Crestron. All our installation team is trained and certificated for Lutron products.

Does Tidmarsh offer a full service?

Yes. From conception to installation, we advise on the best systems available, measure, design, supply and install.

Does Tidmarsh undertake private commissions?

Yes. Although a lot of our work is with interior designers and developers, we often undertake private commissions where we are able to translate our experience into something unique for your home – one of our experienced sales consultants can talk through any requirements and help you design your room.

What is the Tidmarsh Heritage Roller Blind System?

This is a specialised system that we originally developed 180 years ago for use in royal palaces and listed buildings and with the National Trust. Please see our section entitled Heritage Buildings for further information. This system was installed in Kensington Palace.

Is Tidmarsh used to working with Interior Designers?

Yes, frequently it is the interior designer on a project who actually commissions us. Because Tidmarsh are able to manufacture blinds, curtains and soft furnishings as well as measure and install, we are the actually the interior designer's best kept secret on a project.

Can Tidmarsh undertake big commissions?

Yes. Because everything is on site we are equipped to undertake large scale projects. Recent commissions of this nature include the Bonnington Hotel, London, the Aviator Hotel, Farnborough, Kensington Palace and Dawson Place in conjunction with 800 Group.

Does Tidmarsh work directly with developers?

Yes. We have collaborated on a number of projects with residential portfolios in both Manchester and London at prestigious addresses for a turn key finish.

Does Tidmarsh trade overseas?

Yes. We have worked all over the world on projects including Venice, Greece and private yachts.

Can Tidmarsh supply only?

Yes.

Are the motorised systems silent?

Yes. Roller blinds and curtain tracks are silent.

What range of fabrics can Tidmarsh supply?

We have accounts with all the leading fabric houses. You name it, we’ll supply it.

Which woods can Tidmarsh supply?

Because we have our own wood mill, almost any wood (if suitable) can be manufactured into Venetian blinds for example Oak, Mahogany, Walnut, Wenge.

Is the wood that Tidmarsh uses from a sustainable source?

Yes.

Can I have a blind system that isn’t featured on your website?

Where possible, yes. The website is only a brief overview of what Tidmarsh can do. Because our production facilities are on site and because we are authorised distributors for many suppliers, we are uniquely able to work with you to achieve your vision for a space. Often we develop bespoke systems in response to a design brief.
