Awnings

An awning is an attractive and practical way to provide shelter and shade for patios, roof terraces, restaurants, shops and offices. It is a brilliant choice for the British climate!

Awnings not only keep the interior of your home cool, they create a designated area for seating and dining outside and they protect soft furnishings from sun damage inside the house.

Tidmarsh are specialist in that they can still supply traditional, old fashioned awnings if required. These authentic awnings are housed in wooden boxes and use specially forged black iron arms which are shaped to the building and are attached to the wall with cast iron sockets. We have recently undertaken a commission for Old Spitalfields Market using our traditional awnings.

Tidmarsh also supply Dutch canopies which are an elegant way of providing shade where the space may be too small for a sun awning.

Our awnings are available in a wide range of weatherproof fabrics and styles with UV ratings. Our awnings can be manually operated or motorised. Particularly useful are the sun and wind sensors which automatically deploy or retract the awning.

We have recently installed Canopettes (small canopies) at a property in Belvedere Square, London where planning regulations stipulated the traditional design which Tidmarsh were able to supply and install.
